Access to controlled growth environment
On this page
The climate-controlled growth environment includes greenhouses and growth cabinets with adjustable conditions, allowing precise simulation of desired environments year-round. Multiple growth cabinetes and separate greenhouse compartments enable simultaneous experiments under different conditions.
The facility supports research on the annual cycle of trees and horticultural plants, as well as simulations of climate change impacts. It also enables studies on the effects of light quality, soil, substrates, growth regulators, plant protection agents, and harmful or beneficial microbes on forest tree seedlings and horticultural plants, including their pathogens. The environment also allows for small-scale test batch cultivation and analysis prior to larger-scale seasonal testing.
The service includes preparing the cultivation space and necessary equipment, conducting agreed tests and observations during the experiment, collecting samples and data, and, if necessary, pre-processing in a support laboratory and delivering the results. Conditions during the experiment can be reported.
Sample collection
Experiment setup, maintenance, treatments (if applicable), observations, sample collection, and preprocessing as agreed.
Target groups
Researchers, research groups, research communities, research networks, research projects, research organizations, companies.
Access type
- Physical, remote or hybrid access.
- Scope of use must be agreed separately.
Service usage restrictions
- Import of plant diseases, pests, and invasive species is subject to legislation and case-by-case negotiation.
- Research must not cause long-term harm or reduce the usability of the research infrastructure after the study period.
Information to support the application
- A detailed experimental plan must be presented.
- Division of responsibilities and technical details must be discussed with the staff responsible for the platform and equipment when making a reservation.
