Our aim is to find out means how to minimize soil and environmental impacts of logging residue harvest. We study the response of soil nitrogen cycling and nitrogen losses after final felling to uneven distribution on logging residues. Storage piles of logging residues are also under study; in particular, how they affect on nitrate formation in the soil and on nitrate leaching.
