Aim of the project is to find out capacity of cover crops to fix nitrogen in crop rotation of organic production. Several different mixtures of species are compared as undersown cover crops.
With help of funding of this project, we can take plant and soil samples from Prodiva/Lukekas -projects field trials in order to analyse nitrogen content. On ground of the results, conclusions of N benefit by undersown cover crops and effects on N leaching risk are made. Results are published in articles, presentations and web sites of associate projects.
