Description

The statistics show operating profit in non-industrial, private forestry based on income and expenses (earnings - costs). Some information is calculated per unit of forest land area. The statistics are published in Luke’s Statistics service. The database has contained information since 1990.

Content

The earnings in the calculation of operating profit comprise gross stumpage earnings and state subsidy for wood production in non-industrial, private forestry. Costs include investments and administration and other costs of non-industrial, private forestry. Earnings and investments in wood production are based on regional statistics and mostly on evaluated administration and other costs. Regional operating profits are reported by the location where earnings are generated.

Categories

The information is provided by region. The regions include 1990-2014 the regional districts of the Finnish Forest Centre (13) and the Province of Ahvenanmaa and 2015- provinces (19).

Update frequency

The statistics are compiled annually.

Preparation or publication schedule

Preliminary statistics are available some two months and final results some six months after the end of the reporting year.
