Foreign trade in roundwood and forest industry products, 1/2020 (preliminary)

  • In January Finland’s wood imports totalled 0.94 million cubic metres which increased by three per cent compared to January previous year. Three quarters of imported wood originated from Russia.
  • Of imported wood half was pulp wood and 39 per cent chips.
  • In January the real exports value of forest industry products totalled EUR 0.98 billion. In real terms the exports value decreased 13 per cent compared to January previous year (deflated using wholesale price index).
