Basis of feed value calculations - Fur animals

The feed energy value for fur animals is based on metabolizable energy (ME) and is presented as megajoules (MJ), either as MJ/kg DM or MJ/kg.

ME (MJ/kg DM) = (18.8 dCP + 39.8 dCfat + 17.2 dCCH)/1000, where

dCP = digestible crude protein, g/kg DM
dCfat = digestible crude fat, g/kg DM
dCCH = digestible crude carbohydrates, g/kg DM
In the Feed Tables, value of digestible crude protein, dCP, g/kg ka, is also presented.
dCP  = digestibility of crude protein × concentration of crude protein, g/kg ka.
