In this project, our goal is to identify the best aroma hops around Finland and make them available for the markets. We will test chemical compounds for brewing and jointly make genetic analysis to classify aromatic and bitter hops. From chemical and genetic diversity analyses we will select the best hops from Finland and propagate the plant material in order to produce hop plants in nurseries for Finnish breweries and other possible users.
