Utilization of Nordic Pine Wood in the manufacture of wooden components for aircraft production

Tiivistelmä

The Planewood project develops solid wood components for aircraft manufacturing and tests the structures for strength in accordance with aircraft manufacturing standards. The aim is to develop epoxy glued wood structures that can be approved by EASA for aircraft manufacturing. The project will be focusing in particular at the differences between sapwood and heartwood of Scots pine as regards the epoxy gluing performance.
