Multiforever

Intensification of conifer forest production through multi-varietal forestry, i.e. the deployment through vegetative propagation of a range of tested tree varieties, could contribute to sustainable bio-based economy as a future-oriented, complementary alternative to seed-based plantation forestry. The goal is, apart from innovative approaches to achieve the ability to clone any tissue, to develop a value-added chain and joint strategy to bring high-quality somatic trees at acceptable costs.
