Finland is known for its countless water environments. However, we lack scientific evidence and policies on how these resources can be sustainably utilized to bring first class health and wellbeing service products to a national and international market. The scientific aim of this project is to survey the health and wellbeing effects of different aquatic environments (coastal, lake and urban stream network) in connection to diversity and entrepreneurial environment.
To achieve these goals, we will analyze operational possibilities to develop new blue care and well-being service products, and study how nature values associate with perceived and measured health and well-being. Results will be disseminated in scientific papers, reports, a policy brief for decision makers, guidelines for entrepreneurs and citizens, and used as basis for collaborating nationally and internationally.
