WAMBAF is a project initiated to tackle problems concerning forestry activities in relation to water quality in the Baltic Sea Region. Special emphasis is set on clear water, export of nutrients suspendid solids and hazardous substances (mercury as anexample).
WAMBAF works on three main topics that have large impact of the water quality: riparian forests, drainage and beaver activity
