Computational statistical analysis of spatial and spatio-temporal point pattern data

SpatMallit 295100

This project aims to develop statistical models and methods for spatial and spatio-temporal marked point pattern data from forest and neuroscience. Spatially explicit tree-level models of the forest stand structure are developed to better understand spatio-temporal dynamics of uneven-aged forests. Spatial and spatio-temporal models are proposed to advance knowledge of how the spatial patterns of epidermal nerve fibers in the outmost layer of the skin are affected by small fiber neuropathies, such as diabetic neuropathy. General development of spatio-temporal models, their inference and goodness-of-fit methods is expected.
