Residual feed intake of beef cattle - Optimization and validation and of residual feed intake measurements

RESLI

The aim of the project is to promote resource-efficient and environmentally friendly beef production. Improving feed efficiency can reduce the amount of feed needed to produce one kilogram of meat. Improved feed efficiency reduces environmental load of beef production and also reduces feeding costs. The aim of the project is to produce reliable and cost-effective calculation methods to determine the residual feed intake. The fewer variables and measurements are needed in the model, the cheaper the residual feed intake is to determine.
