Pötsi-hanke

pötsi

The aim of the Pötsi project is to investigate the impact of dairy cow rumen operations on the profitability of milk production. The project will develop the skills and practices of dairy farms in animal nutrition, care, conditions and working methods to prevent feeding-related diseases, in particular latent sorrel. Prevention avoids the loss of production, additional work and the cost of animal disease. The project also investigates the status indicators of latent sorrel. Pilot farms are exploring ways to maintain rumen health and looking for new ways of doing things.
