Goals

In the project, the origin knowledge of Finnish seed born apple varieties is collected, and the known the trees of the known variety names are announced in old gardens to the variety identification. The identification is made combining external distinctive marks and DNA fingerprinting to the old pomology literature, nursery catalogues, written local history and memory information.
