Significance of consumers in GHG mitigation

The purpose of the project is to find out the significance of consumer choices for the realization of Finland's emission reductions and climate goals by 2035. The aim of the work is to assess the need for additional consumer measures, which are not directly affected by society's emission reduction control instruments, and their greatest emission reduction potentials in achieving Finland's climate goals, especially from the perspective of the burden-sharing sector's 2030 EU targets and Finland's 2035 carbon neutrality targets; and reducing Finnish consumption-based emissions (including foreign operations).
