This is a preliminary study on the safety and reliability of robot infrastructures and automation in crop production. The study deals with: the functional safety features of automation enabled by the standard ISO 11783 (Two-way communication between the tractor and the implement) and the testing of such automation, the standard ISO 25119 edition 2 (Safety functions in distributed systems), the EU directive for brakes in towed equipment, and the impacts of systemic errors in the crop production.

The results of work packages will be published in Luke's publication series and as a conference publication. The results will also be presented at the ISOBUS days in the autumn of 2017 at Luke Vihti (Vakola).
