Sustainable dairy production usung high-grass diets

To increase sustainability, profitability and animal welfare in milk production chain, this project

produces information on the following themes:

1. Potential for reducing carbon footprint of dairy production by decreasing use of grain.

2. Rumen methane production, quantitative effects of high roughage diet.

3. Impacts of high grass utilization in diets on farm management, profitability and animal health.
