New biological solutions to control carrot psyllid and carrot spoilage caused by storage diseases

Bioporkkana

The aim is 1. to develop new biological solutions to control carrot psyllids, by studying the effect of plant-based products and predaotry insects, 2. to study the interactions between fungal diseases and microbial communities in soil and 3. to develop new solutions to improve storage quality of carrots by modifying soil microbiome by cultivation practices. The project will produce new scientific data and recommendations for developing growing techniques.
