Professor Xavier Irz from Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) has won this year’s Quality of Research Discovery Award from the European Association of Agricultural Economists (EAAE) for his article (1) analysing the welfare and sustainability effects of dietary recommendations. Xavier received the award with his INRA co-authors at the EAAE Congress which took place in Parma, 29.8-1.9.2017.

Furthermore, Xavier and his co-authors obtained an honorary mention for second place in the competition for best contributed paper at the Congress. This paper (2) presents a cross-country comparison of the sustainability effects of dietary recommendations. There were altogether 550 submissions and 320 papers accepted for presentation at the congress.
