Managing the risk on Listeria monocytogenes in the food chain

LiSTOPtimation

The main objective of the project is to promote cost-effective control of Listeria monocytogenes in the food industry by comparing the costs and benefits of different control measures and by promoting the identification of highly sustainable and production-stable stocks.

The project will provide information on the economic viability of different risk management measures, the cost of listeria, the characteristics of Listeria monocytogenes strains, pathways of infection, persistence and adaptation in the food production chain, and provide training for researchers and others interested in GWAS methods in particular.
