Drying-off practices in Finnish dairy herds

The goal of the project is to identify and develop cost-effective drying-off practices that will improve udder health, milk production, and milk quality of dairy cows and, thus, enhance the profitability of dairy farms. The project will provide guidelines for dairy producers on optimal drying-off practices which also slow down the development of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria.
