The aim of the project is to provide information by field trials of the varieties suitable for the onion production using onion seedlings. Comparative trials of onion seedlings and onion sets are done on practical onion farms.
Information of the use of onion seedlings in onion production is compiled into a data-sheet publication The project also provides information on the costs of using the onion seedlings as compared to the use of bulbs.
