ERA-Net Cofund on Sustainable Crop Production

SusCrop

The overall goal of this project ERA-Net Cofund on Sustainable Crop production (“SusCrop”) is to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA) by coordinating and sharing information on the research programs of the participating Member and Associated States in improving and enhancing the sustainability and resilience of crop production, and to implement a transnational call for proposals with EU co-funding to procure multinational research projects on this topic. The applicants, a consortium of European program managers and program owners, will provide 1) a joint call co-funded by the partners of the consortium and the European Commission and 2) a broad range of accompanying measures that go beyond this co-funded call, in order to support European coherence in crop research. The proposal responds to the topic H2020-SFS-19-2016-2017-D of the HORIZON 2020 - Work Programme 2016 - 2017 for “Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy” under Horizon 2020. Thereby it contributes to the overall EU objective of building the ERA through enhanced cooperation and coordination of national research programs. Luke's role is not in participating the preparation of the calls and evaluation of applications but in joint activities with funded projects, especially related to data collection, harmonization and sharing issues.
