Support for NFI development in Myanmar
SUNFIM
Sustainable use of forest resources plays an important role in Myanmar's economy. In recent decades, the forest area and forest biodiversity has markedly decreased. Ongoing NFI-NFMIS project, implemented by FAO and supported by the governments of Finland and Myanmar, will develop National Forest Monitoring and Information System. Luke will support NFI-NFMIS project by studying sampling design options, methodologies and compiling documents for Myanmar's National Forest Inventory.
