Inventory of the permanent field sites on reindeer lichen pastures

The aim of the project is to make the third inventory on the permanent field sites located on lichen pastures in the 20 northernmost reindeer herding co-operatives during 2016-2018.

The present condition of lichen pastures as well as information on the potential changes which have taken place on lichen pastures after 2005-2008 and during the whole 20-year monitoring period in the study area will be reported. Besides this, there will be published the updated pasture mappings as well as maps on the pasture areas covered and affected by infrastructure and human disturbance in each reindeer herding co-operative.
