The project investigates in a clinical study, whether information of a risk genotype (ApoE4) affects fulfillment of lifestyle changes and sensory preferences. The project studies also the ethic aspects of giving the information of risk genotype.
The project produces scientific data of the effects of ApoE4-genotype and lifestyle changes on the clinical markers of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes and on the sensory preferences and the effects of genotype information on the stress and anxiety levels. The results help in planning effective and ethically sound interventions for population level.
