Autentication

This project creates a reference database for verifying authenticity that is needed to control the Finnish origin claims of strawberry. Methods based on stable isotope and trace element profiling are used.

The reference database is created by coordinately sampling and analyzing a high number of strawberry samples with different geographic origin for the analyses.
As an outcome of the project, the food authorities have a tool to show if the strawberries are produced in Finland or not.
